fuss bucket

It's been a rough week.

Mama's become the nap nazi.
She actually makes me lay down
in my crib
and sleep.
Ughhh.

She left me with dad one evening.
And met some friends
and had fun
without me.
Ughhhh.

She made me go to her 6 week follow up.
Ughhhh.

And
she makes me wear these ridiculous bows.
even when I cry.
So I give the extra pouty lip.

She's been reading The Happiest Baby on the Block
and Healthy Sleep Habits.
So she's always wrapping me up tightly
and running the stupid vacuum.
Ughhh.

Babies don't let your mama's read it.
They'll make you take naps...

It's gotta get better...right?

  1. I WANT TO KISS THOSE LITTLE LIPS! But I won't in case I have germs.

  3. Oh Bethany!! It does get better...I say that today but if you asked me yesterday around 1pm it was a different story! Naps have been my biggest dilema for a while. Two weeks ago they were easy and predictable, now not as much. Just when I think I have these little fellas figured out they throw me a curve ball. For us a schedule has been key...but it can make you a little crazy too. Saying a little prayer for ya!

  4. We used Happiest Baby too! A cousin used Happy Sleep Habits. Whatever works. Just imagine months down the line she'll be napping and sleeping and you'll forget about this hard week. That's why people go on and have a second...and a third. :)
P.S. That pout is so cute!

  6. ADORABLE post, you made me smile:) We are going through much of the same here so I feel your pain. My little fuss bucket is a good napper but is a super hungry girl, always wanting to eat. I have to pump in between nursings so that I can feed her with a bottle after I nurse. This one is taking me for a ride... call me sometime, I would love to share some wine:) It will get better soon...

  7. Sweet girl, if you think Momma's mean now... you just wait until you're in High School!

Hang in there, Bethany! You're doing a great job! Keep telling the stories, I'm trying to learn all I can!

  10. Ah, sweet girl. I remember the Colic days like they were yesterday. It's amazing that you can still love her even through the crying. A power of a mothers love I suppose. While I almost lost my mind through the lack and sleep and endless screams I was still smitten.
Be assured, it WILL get better. One of these days she'll start cooing and laughing and all the crying will be a distant memory. I promise.
    Hang in there sister.
