31 flavors and then some...

Yes. It's my birthday. Yes I'm officially old. I'm cool with it.
 I recently heard two high school girls at the salon discussing how "old" 30 sounded. Ouch.

In my defense, a guy asked me this weekend if I went to school in Austin.

  Like currently, not like 10 years ago. 

He may or may not have been blind...

So in honor of my 31 years of a blessed life, 

I thought back through the last 12 months and chose 31 of my most favorite memories. 

And you know what? It was hard to limit them to only 31.

 That's a good thing, right? And you know what else? 

They all have a lot to do with being a mom.

I tried to not make it all about that, but in the big picture, 

that's pretty much my most favorite thing of the past year...

becoming a mama. 

SOOOOO... in no particular order, my top 31 memories of the past year....

1. spending our 4th wedding anniversary watching Crazy Love & eating Minsky's

2. Finishing my job the beginning of May to be a stay at home mom.

3. Long walks last spring to induce labor

4. Getting caught in a torrential downpour with Mat during the last of those long walks.

5. decorating Campbell's nursery

6. Spending my 30th birthday with my parents and Mat in KC

7. pre-delivery pedi's with my mom

8.  Watching the most amazing lightning storm with Mat the night I was induced at KU...while having the most intense contractions and listening to James Taylor on repeat on the ipod

9. Campbell & Parker's birth

10. The first night at the hospital with Campbell...pretty sure none of us slept a wink.

11. Introducing Campbell to her grandparents.

12. Introducing Campbell to her Uncle Marshall

13. Watching our friends DJ & Amy get married in Vail.

14. First post baby date night with Mat: Big Head Todd

15. Introducing Campbell to her aunts Cori, Carissa & Andrea

16. First Road trip. alone. with a baby.
