I was really tempted to serve all mexican food this week in honor of my most favorite holiday ever.....Cinco de Mayo. Seriously - I love this holiday. It's like all things I love mesh together on a beautiful spring day.
And yes, I really do know what the holiday celebrates... a degree emphasis in Latin American studies will get that for you thankyouverymuch. I honestly think I might be part Mexican, but that's another story.
Anywho.... here's whats cooking at the Good house this week:
Monday: Sheryl Crow's chicken tacos.
A secret recipe family she shared with me last week at book club
That's a lie.
It was in last week's People magazine
Tuesday: greek mini meatballs, quinoa, spinach salad
Wednesday: Royals game!!
I'm guessing hotdogs & beer?
Thursday Carissa's yummy looking enchiladas

Check out those chubby legs in cut offs, would ya?
She's going to HATE me one day for posting this pic... |
Is there anything cuter than a baby with her first baby doll? I didn't think we'd have baby dolls around this place for at least a few years. Nope. Campbell met this doll a few months ago when my friend Heather's daughter was over playing and brought her doll. Campbell was OBSESSED. Like
wouldn't let go of her obsessed. So I did what any good mother would do and I went out and found the exact same doll (or at least brand, I think this one is smaller) and bought it for her. Oh friends. It touched my heart to see her get so excited about this doll. I call her Baby *real creative right?!* Mat named her Jo... like
Facts of Life Jo. I have no clue where he got this... I mean really? Jo? She's all pink and girly... not black leather, motor-cycle-ish. And if we are going to be choosing names from
Facts of Life I definitely would have chosen Blair. Or Tootie. Maybe Natalie. But Jo? Really??

| yes, I realize I need to trim her nails... |
Oh, Campbell. She's such a good mama to her "Jo". And by
good mama I mean that she likes to poke her in the eyes and smash her when she crawls on top of her.
Mat has really good taste in names. Hehe. Jo.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he had a crush on Facts of Life Jo back in the day?
And I see that Campbell has put a bow on her baby's hair!!! :) Look at all that hair Ms. C is sporting!! And I LOVE those chubby little baby thighs!
ReplyDeleteum, her daisy dukes made me LOL. as did the comment about you and sheryl crow in a book club together. well played.
ReplyDelete1. Her chunky rolls kill me. KILL ME.
ReplyDelete2. Mat is vetoed by Aunt C.C. on the baby doll naming. I think she looks much more like a Tiffany or a Jennifer than a Jo. Just sayiin.
3. What the WHAY is quinoa. Do I need to make it.
4. Let me know how the enchiladas turn out
5. I made some onion strings tonight that are my most favoritest thing I've made in years. Might wanna hook it up. I think I'm gonna go make myself some more right now actually.
I've gotta say, I love the strawberry blonde! I'm a little partial though. :)
ReplyDeleteThose thighs are to die for. I wish I could have thighs like that and still be that cute!
ReplyDeleteBaby Corolle was Addy's first doll and she LOVED her! Still does. They are so little, soft and cuddly. Perfect for babies. When we found out we were pregnant with a boy we got her the boy version of baby Corolle which she lovingly takes care of and calls him baby Asher =) So sweet...Campbell will soon need a stroller, bed & all the works to take care of her baby!
ReplyDeleteThose baby thighs are yuuuummmmy!
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely adorable! And I am LOVING her shirt:)!
ReplyDeletethose cut-offs are awesome! homemade or purchased that way????
ReplyDeleteI am cracking up! Please please please call the baby Tootie. Please. I will pay you in cool points.
