Yep. That's right, we have an 11 month old

Seriously?! I must have blinked and my child grew up. I'm having the hardest time today believing that Campbell is ELEVEN months old. Let me just tell you... she is FUN ... and super duper busy. I've never seen a child crawl so fast. Our highlite of the day is when Mat walks in the door and she takes off like a rocket to greet him. Life is nutty around here right now and we are loving every last minute of it. It's so fun to watch her become more independent and see little traits of her personality come out.

Let's see...what's new...
-We're eating just about everything under the sun. Current faves: edamame, blueberries, scrambled eggs, grilled cheese sandwiches.
-WE HAVE A TOOTH! It's quite the news around these parts since she was teething forever. You would've thought I was pregnant the day I discovered it! {which I am not}
-Crawling EVERYWHERE. I can't turn around for 1 second or she's off to goodness knows where.
-OBSESSED with the electric sockets. Okay seriously? What the what?! Yes, we have protectors in them. If I turn around for 1 little second she's heads straight to the socket, pulls it out and laughs! Needless to say we are getting our first dose of "discipline" {let's be honest... I thought that didn't happen for quite a while...}
-LOVES the dogs... likes to try to sneak into their beds.
-Super social. She loves play dates and kids and just other people in general. I think she likes other kids more than they like her!!
-Gave me her first kiss on mother's day. She grabs both of my cheeks and pulls my face close... and kind of sucks on my nose? It sounds gross, but it melts my heart everytime.
-Doing tons of cruising, but not quite walking. She'll stand for awhile on her own, then realize what she's doing and quickly sit down.

This little girl is mischievous and into everything. She is happy and loving. She is most definitely the best thing that ever happened to us. She is a reminder to me every single day that God answers prayers - that He listens, even when you're not sure He is. Had I known this time last year what this year would've been like - it definitely would've been a breath of fresh air. This morning I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph some adorable twin girls and their parents.  I saw up close what our life would've been like... should have been like. And it looked so fun. But you know what? Life IS fun right now.  We are so incredibly blessed. And if anything- it made me come home, hold her a little more, snuggle a little longer and remind her how much I love her and how thankful I am that she's here with us because there was definitely a time when we weren't sure she would be. And it made me feel a little closer to Parker, too. I don't know if babies have birthdays in heaven {I like to think they do}- but if they do - happy 11 months Campbell and Parker.

Okay! On to our 11month pictures!

Guess it's time to get crackin' on that first birthday party!!

  5. Already a first birthday?

    I know that feeling of being with twins. Feeling that something is missing. But I have to say I also know that feeling of being happy with what (who) you have with you.
