last month we made a whirlwind trip down to springfield for a very special birthday.
a 90th birthday to be exact
for none other than campbell's great grand dad
a incredibly special man that i love like my very own grandad
the man who passed down his red hair to her
it was quite the weekend 'round the good house as it was
great grand dad's 90th

and campbell's 1st
but there was no way we could miss celebrating this wonderful man's birthday with him
and introducing him to his only great grandchild
i hope that campbell is able to remember this sweet man.
he is a fascinating man with the kindest eyes
that have seen their share of joy & pain; success & hardships
he's been a doctor, a fisherman, a pilot & a rancher
and now he's a great grandad
leaving some pretty big shoes to fill
for this little great grand daughter
and many future generations...
We love you grandad!! Happy NINETIETH Birthday!

ReplyDeleteSweetness! I had such an amazing relationship with my great grandmother. She died at the age of 102 while I was in college. Such sweet memories of her:)
