I once fell asleep on a blind date

true story.
he was super boring and not much of a conversationist.
we were at the olive garden
and all he did was talk about his
mad hockey skills.
awesome.
{i also have another funny date story from the og, but i'll save that for another post}

due to my apparent blind date sleeping skills,
i've decided to teach our daughter the same trick.
boring date?
no problem.
Just use it as an opportunity to catch up on some shut eye.

okay that's not true.
however -  the falling asleep at the og part is true.
we're finally nap dropping at the good house
and teething
and in "post grandparent spoiling / suck it up buttercup" bootcamp
and waking up every boring at 4am.
rough.
week.

and in case you were wondering... instead of rescuing her from her high chair dreams
i grabbed my cannon and did some shooting...
i mean seriously how cute are these pics?!

any nap dropping advice out there?
we only made it to 11:07 today.

  1. 1. Why did I not know the blind date story?!?
    2. She is so freaking cute. Bring her to Aunt CC. I will let her sleep whenever, wherever she wants.

  3. that is freaking hilarious! We dropped our morning nap when summer began just so that we could get out and do stuff. If we are in the car around 11:00 she will usually fall asleep and I let her sleep for about 20 minutes. Then I wake here up, feed her lunch, and try to keep her going till 1:00 so that she will lay down when the rest of my crew does. The 20 minute nap thing could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the kiddo. I remember when this would happen with Margaret and that was it for the day, no nap after that. Good luck, hang in there, and please keep taking these cute pics!

  4. Those are FABULOUS! Arle's never been the fall-asleep-anywhere type so I love to see when other kids do that.
