a roomie reunion {photo shoot...kind of}

 Last week Campbell and I went down to Tulsa to enjoy a long weekend with my parents, catch up with some dear friends and squeeze in some photo sessions. It was a whirlwind good time. I'm not sure I actually sat down the entire time I was there, but it was SO worth it. That same week, my college roommate Suzanne was in town with her adorable family. I hadn't had the chance to meet Suz's kiddos yet so I was thrilled to finally meet them.  So Suzanne, Carissa and I got our babies and a few of the husbands together for a little roomie reunion. Of sorts. (Rachel - you seriously missed a good time!!! Miss you girl!)


And of course what do two photographer mamas do when all of their babies are together? Get their silly cameras out - that's what. This was our attempt at a few pictures of all six of our kids. Six beautiful kids, five adults, two ridiculously big cameras - should be a breeze, right? Right. Ha. 

Enter Campbell. And Coco. 

Beautiful babies with strong personalities. 

{Not at all like their mamas}.

Apparently there is a love affair of sorts developing here friends. His mom and I are thrilled about the potential of being super cool grandmas someday...but for now it's just downright hilarious. 

Let's start from the beginning...gathering the kids. 

The breakdown begins. 

Coco is OBSESSED with holding "baby campbell". "I HOLD BABY CAMPBELL!!!!!!!" 

And there's campbell running for cover in the top right hand corner...

She's definitely into playing hard to get.

Coco: I HOLD BABY CAMPBELL!!!!!!

Des: What's wrong little buddy?

Emmy: MOOOOOMMM! Coco is sad!

Coco: CAMPBELL I HOLD YOU!!! 

Campbell: Michael help me. Save me. Please. Right now.

Easton: how cute are they? Good thing I'm a big kid and don't act like this!

 Des: Little Campbell, you're okay. I won't let them hurt you.

Emmy: Here baby Campbell. I'll hold you. And sing to you.

 Campbell: Mom stop with the pictures. Rescue me. Save me. Enough already.

 Campbell: My mom isn't listening!!

(in full dramatic, pterodactyl style screeching) EMMY SAVE ME!! 

Desmond: I'll hold you campbell. It's okay

**side note: this is pretty much the time that Carissa's husband staged an intervention and insisted suggested I put down the camera and help my child***

Oh Michael... your wife's a photographer, right? =)

Coco: I Coco! I win! I hold baby Campbell!!

Campbell: Okay. This isn't so bad. 

Five out of Six. Where's Des?

No idea how she slept through all the drama.

Speaking of drama - my little drama queen has worn herself completely out.

And Coco? He's happy. He won.

There's sweet little Des. 

And Emmy taking good care of him.

(girls who would've though back in the old days in stillwater that we'd be hanging out with all of our babies?? I love it!)
