the b family {sneak peek}

A few months ago I got an email from an old friend asking about a setting up a photo session. 

And when I say old - I mean like childhood. 

Like I was an awkward geeky 4th grader when she was a super cool, popular 6th grader.  

Our brothers were best friends (and always up to no good...)

so our two families hung out alot.

I remember a joint halloween party that involved a scary dracula

and going camping in popup trailers...

{I'm pretty sure we thought we were way too cool for popups}

Long story short, this super cool popular 6th grader is all grown up with a beautiful family of her own. 

It was such an incredible treat to not only meet her family, but get to photograph them...all while trying to catch up on the last 15 years while snapping pictures!

Mandy - Thank you. I loved every single minute of our session! Just wish it could've lasted longer!!

 

 

 

baby t: 3 mos {sneak peek}

I can NOT believe that this little girl is already three months! I completely forgot how much babies change in their first 3 months of life. As you can easily tell - she has the most amazing blue eyes and the sweetest little smile!

Meet the W family. 

I knew I liked them from the moment they pulled up. 

That curly hair and those blue eyes?!

Oh. my. goodness.

Not only are these two little ladies adorable - but they are also hilarious. 

They were born to get their pictures taken. 

I think it's clear that we all had a great time during this session...despite the freezing temps.

These pictures make me smile... they warm my heart.

The way these two sisters love on each other, 

have fun together &

 look after each other 

is nothing short of beautiful.

That's probably why I loaded so many onto the blog ... it was impossible to just choose a "few"

the k family {sneak peek}

This fall I did this session for some of our best friends, the K family. Little did we know a fourth member of the family - a little man to be exact - was also actually in the pictures.  Six months later we decided another session was in order, a mix between 18 months, maternity & family.  Let's just say the weather didn't exactly cooperate...you'd think by May in Kansas City you could expect somewhat warm temps? Nope. That's okay - we definitely made the best of it and captured some great pictures of this beautiful family.  I've pretty much decided it's impossible to capture a "bad" picture of this family!

D&S - Thanks for putting up with the chilly weather. Can't wait to meet that baby and take some more pictures!
