baby n: newborn pics {sneak peek}

Almost exactly two years ago Mat and I traveled to California to run the Big Sur marathon with our dear friends the Pitts. They are some of our close friends -you know, the kind you can puke in their fancy new car when you're 14 months prego and ridiculously uncomfortable and they DON'T care. Yeah that kind. At the time of the marathon, babies were a mere twinkle in our eyes.  We had a blast with them and we all swore to go back some day with our babies and run it again. Well their little guy graced us all with his presence just a few weeks ago and he is perfect. and beautiful. and brilliant. You know that feeling when you are so ridiculously excited for someone that all you can do is smile and giggle, "I'm just so excited for you" over and over ? Well, that pretty much sums up how we feel about their new journey as parents.

Welcome to the world baby boy! You are precious, perfect & adored. You have two amazing parents who are crazy about you. We look forward to lots of cookouts, mexican food dinners, ku basketball games and play dates with you.

PS: Are you kidding me with those eyelashes?!! Amazing!

is there anything sweeter than watching first time parents with their brand new baby? nope. there isn't. meet the h family. they recently contacted me about taking photographs of their brand new baby girl and i was so honored to be able to do so. i love babies...but i really love newborns. this mama and daddy are head over heels for their little girl...and i am sure you can see why. i thoroughly enjoyed not only photographing them, but getting to know all three of them.

b & t: congratulations on the most wonderful journey in life- parenthood. thank you so much for asking me to share a glimpse of that with your friends and family.

A few years back I met this adorable family (or should I say couple?) It was before any of us had babies and watching basketball games at johnny's was a much bigger deal to any of us than changing diapers.  I knew instantly that I liked them. They're down to earth, kind, easy going people. And definitely fun to watch basketball with.

Isn't it funny how time changes things? They now have two beautiful kiddos and are just the sweetest little family. When I saw big brother I just knew I had to snap some pictures of those beautiful big blue eyes. And baby K?? Well the pictures speak loud and clear. She is absolutely precious.

Baby t came into the world 2 weeks ago.

and it is clear after spending just a tiny bit of time with her parents

that they are completely, totally, 100%

smitten.

remember this beautiful prego? well she finally had her baby. and if you know her birth story you totally understand the finally part of this little guy's arrival! i thought he was never going to get here!

can i just say how incredibly handsome this little guy is? he is absolutely perfect. i am totally, completely smitten with him. and his beautiful blue eyes. and his teeny tiny little features. 

peter & lindsay you are already amazing parents. i can't tell you how excited we are for you. i am so impressed with both of you and how you have embraced parenthood. i can't wait to watch this little guy grow up! and i look forward to loading our babies up in their BOBs and heading out on some runs. 

ps: and just so you know, lindsay's eyelashes are REAL and amazing. and i'm totally jealous.
